Executive Communities

We build unique communities where executives create knowledge to accelerate growth beyond their prior expectations. Executive Councils consist of eight to ten senior leaders from various non-competing organizations who meet regularly to give each other the guidance that only those who have shared the helm can offer. In some cases, leaders from various industries who hold the same position make up the group; other leaders prefer industry-specific groups. In all cases, members come from similar-sized organizations, hold comparable positions, and have similar, if not identical responsibilities in those organizations. That means members understand the challenges and opportunities each one faces and can hold each other accountable for goals, sharing information, and encouraging continued learning.

Through facilitated peer-to-peer discussions, members fuel change and innovation. They strive to inspire each other’s best thinking, challenge each other’s assumptions, and provide a low-risk laboratory to experiment with new approaches.

Objectives

  • Improve your decision making and problem solving.
  • Increase accountability and commitment to action.
  • Avoid costly mistakes by comparing notes with knowledgeable peers.
  • Decrease your stress through supportive peer relationships.
  • Test ideas and identify obstacles before making significant changes.
  • Improve global perspective, industry knowledge, and competitive differentiation.

Benefits

  • Accelerate your development with increased knowledge of leadership skills, team performance, time management, delegation, relationship building, and strategic focus.
  • Build confidence in your decisions by using fellow executives as sounding boards for your toughest decisions. Find out how they have met and overcome the same obstacles that stand in your way.
  • Members go in with no agenda, except to help each other. Therefore, you will receive the candor often denied those at the top.
  • You will improve your own performance so you can lead your organization to improve its
    performance.
  • You will turn away from the flavor-of-the-month seminar or book and engage in ongoing, accelerated learning that will take you and your company to the next level.

Format

  • The group meets six times a year in a pre-determined location. A social dinner the night before precedes each meeting.
  • Each meeting has an educational component that addresses the members’ challenges and provides peer-to-peer assistance on real current issues.
  • Executives receive up to six hours of personal coaching per year included in their Executive Council membership fees. You can choose to engage in a comprehensive assessment, a 360 feedback experience, one-on-one coaching, presentation skills training, or a customized coaching program designed to address your specific needs.
